Completely necessary, and a welcomed announcement IMO. More space for more breweries and you'd think a few more tickets for patrons (I know the article left that up in the air). The first item I hope they implement is automatic entry for previous year winners.

Denver has one of the ten largest convention spaces in the country, coupled with the biggest beer festival. Why not utilize the extra space?

In regards to GABF...IMO bigger is better, yes.

I've always like that the BA has kept up with the times with the GABF. They know they have a winner and people want to see it get bigger. Good on them.

Having said that, I miss the old Thursday night members-only session 10-15 years ago when everyone manned their own booth and rolled out the best of the best of their beers. Those were some good times.

I count myself a lucky s.o.b to have gotten tickets this year. Hopefully more floor space translates to more available tickets and more breweries making it in 2015. I'm only interested in checking out 20 brewers this year, but that may be 25 with the expected growth this change brings.

I agree that with GABF specifically, bigger is better. With beer fests in general I find the opposite to be true; I've been to tons of them and my favorites are always the small obscure ones. I won't even talk about the best beer fest I've ever been to on here, in fear that it might grow too big

Don't recall a Thursday members only session and (until this year), I've gone every year since about '93 or '94. I do miss the Currigan Hall days with your six ounce pour in the beer garden............

Hopefully health will hold up for next year and I'll be able to attend once again.
