i cant even tell you how frustrated i am. Bought my membership ticket but wasn't givin the option for a DD. Well i missed out. AHA said they are sorry they had heard about some people not being giving the option to buy DD on Tuesday. What a bunch of bullshit..

Actually the guy at AHA said so you actually got a ticket 4 for membership session? I said yes.So he says you should have no problem selling that ticket. It's like fuck you! i want to go with my wife. It's not about making money off a ticket. I love craft beer, not the hype. So AHA you suck i will never subscribe again this was bull shit

As much as I'd love to subscribe to the notion that they're out to personally harm you, ruin your weekend, and also somehow line their own pockets all at once, I must in truth tell you to chill out.

Quite frankly, the AHA is not there to simply give you an edge in buying tickets for GABF. I use my membership to get into Homebrew Competitions, get discounts at bars and stores around the country, and to read Zymurgy (back issues are all online too now). Not to mention that the AHA does plenty to help change old/poor legislation around the country that is halting the progress of the craft beer movement.

Why don't you post an ISO in the new ticket trading forum instead of screaming about it in here? Why don't you look into the other benefits of your membership too before the next tirade, eh? At this point everyone knows that tickets sold out extremely fast this year. Welcome to the world of every other highly sought after sporting event or concert ticket...

Oh so i shouldn't voice my opinion on how i feel about something because you don't agree with it? My bad...
I'll start sending you BM's so you can approve of what i post first..

Sure thing bro, if that makes you feel better or help you to fit into the persecuted suit you're trying to wear...

I was all set to apologize to you as well, as you had apparently already posted an ISO for the ticket you need, but instead you went his route.

I don't care if people voice their opinion, that's what the site is all about. But you made you point in here, then immediately made it again, only even more vehemently. You're coming off as someone on a tantrum.

Then I happened to check updates in the GABF ticket main thread and see that more than half of your content the last two months has been in there, and recently it's all complaining and pointing fingers. My advice is that next time you focus on buying your tickets (in a single order) instead of feeling compelled to alert BA to every single step you go through... I'll play nice and leave it at that.

My initial comments still stand - use your AHA membership as it is intended and you'll get your money back since it appears you're local to many of the breweries that have great discounts.

And regardless of who's to blame here, your situation does indeed suck. But you ought to know that you're more likely to get sympathy and help in locating the needed ticket on here through cordial conduct vs outrage and angry finger-pointing. Good luck.

They do release it in print. You can get them at the same table you get the program book.

Good to know. I was at the Saturday evening session last year and in the members entrance they were just passing out programs to everyone in line. I avoided all other booths once inside unless I was looking for something specific.

Edit: anyone know if they allow small bags/backpacks inside? Between my wife's and my program (which are huge btw) and the various other swag, etc that I accumulated, I was really weighed down. I somehow managed to stuff it all in my back pockets but a bag would have made things easier and I'd have been more willing to pick up other freebies...

Yeah thanks... I could have sworn people were using those thin vinyl drawstring bags though (the prohibited item list seems to be targeting larger bags specifically). I'm working at a brewery table this year so I imagine storage of some items will be possible when I do mill about, but if anyone knows firsthand whether smalls bags are also prohibited I'd still like to know.

Small bags are fine. Maybe a man-purse or European carry-all? :grinning: It's just those backpacks full of god-knows-what that people seem to wear a lot during crowded events (why?) that are not allowed.

If you're at a table (which one?), then there's room for small storage.

Actually, I bring a crumpled up grocery bag in my pocket and fill it up with "stuff" while pouring. I keep it under the pouring table

And yeah, European carry-all sounds perfect.

Is there a definitive date the Brewer's Association releases the brews each brewery is bringing this year?
