GABF Special Distro Beers

^^^ This. It sounded like full distro at first but I believe I read in another thread it will bew GABF special kegs to some contracts and then 16oz cans next year.

 

Westbrook?

 

Westbrook started distro in Denver last year (non-GABF related). It's limited but we saw One Claw, Gose, IPA, and White Thai.

 

As far as I recall, that was CBC only. Has any been around since then and I missed it?

 

I don't believe we've gotten any more since then, but I also wasn't aware it was a CBC special. That makes sense though now that you mention it.

 

Shorts?

 

No, they said not this year.

 

I still see stuff from last year's Shorts allotment around town.

 

Same from those Sun King cans that dropped for CBC.... did anyone buy those?

 

I saw 6'ers of Southampton Publick House Pumpkin Ale last week; my guess is that they're GABF goodies. Haven't seen anything else out of the ordinary.

 

I liked the Sun King stuff, but the Shorts didn't make a big impression. I think, when we heard they were getting limited distribution here, we thought it would be the weird stuff... but it was the normal stuff. We had customers coming in looking for Key Lime Pie, which I knew they didn't release, but that's what people were looking for. So, yeah, it sat on the shelf for a good long while.

 

Cigar city cans again?

 

Good riddance to Short's and dumping all their beer that failed to meet their quality control standards for their market onto the Colorado local shelves that first year they came. That sixer of Pandemonium Ale I bought was so absolutely awful it tasted like liquified metal. I didn't even get through half a bottle before I drain poured it and the pack. Probably the worst beer experience I have had and I have refused to give Shorts a second chance since then.

 

Jesterking again and Cascade from what i hear, but what do I know?

Although I've only been here two weeks out of the last two months I still live here. I'll be in steamboat next week(where I'm trying to convince the wife we should live) but we need to hook up GABF week, or better yet the week after.
