yes, the line that chooses what computers will work and which ones will crash.... Buying in person 3 years ago was awesome and they need to bring that back. Forces people to go into establishments and have BEER.....
After what happened with just registering breweries I'm excited to see this unfold. The headlines would be so great. "1000's Dead after Server crashes in Denver Colorado. Hundreds of thousands of ecstatic beer fans rushed the servers of Ticketfucker for a chance at purchasing tickets to the coveted Great American Beer Festival. On July 31st, when the main Ticketfucker server crashed, Thousands were left inherently pressing the refresh button for "what seemed like hours". For those who were shut out of the ticket frenzy, shock quickly set in, later turning deadly. Those who made it through the endless web of online loopholes and purchased tickets were overflowing with joy. "It's like winning the lottery" said the front man of a black market ticket selling ring. "People are dying for these tickets".
Probably won't make a difference. If it is going be like past ticket sales, you needed to have been a member for at least a month to purchase tickets during the member pre-sale.
I got my hotel reserved already but holding off on plane tickets until after tickets go on sale. Expecting the worst but hoping for some luck. Worst case scenario is I miss out on tickets and push my trip to back to winter when I can hit up all the spots with out the shit show of GABF going on. Do a little skiing and enjoy my rights as a tourist in 2014. Win win either way.
There's so much other cool shit going on that week you'd be okay. Haven't made it to GABF yet, and somehow I don't feel left out.
And that worked so well last year..... Getting <quickly> to where I'm looking forward to more non-GABF events that week than the "main attraction" Have really enjoyed the All CO Rare at the Rackhouse the past two years... Pretty reasonably priced and really good beers...
ha! yeah. Maybe they need a extra secret super secret pre-sale. I'm going to try and move my pouring shift to the pavillion and brewers guild areas. Think I've poured the general scene long enough. Time for a change
Really is a shame this whole mess. Just heard Jolly Pumpkin did not get into GABF and just canceled an event they had planned for months at City O City. Same scenairo will be repeated many times over with countless breweries and GABF events, real shame
