The article itself is fairly average, but what is noteworthy is that it has attracted 66 comments in 24 hrs (granted, "what's your favourite beer" is pretty easy to respond to). Historically, most beer articles would be lucky to get 5 comments.

Maybe the deadshits who run the food and lifestyle publications might be starting to realise they've been asleep at the wheel for the last few years.

Bad news - when things get popular (in Aust) they become tacky and overpriced.

Australian beer was already tacky and overpriced before it became popular

Yeah, but it is in Exec Style, the editorial bias against beer in Good Living is deliberate. Think its kinda funny that the more wine is supported in Good Living, the column centimeters shrink. The editorial mandate for that insert is that beer is a no-no, its such a crap beverage we all know ...

good living itself has shrunk and become shitter over the last 5 years or so anyway...not a fan of Terry Durack displacing a succession of local reviewers who had more of a clue

I remember Matilda Bay beers being exceptional and priced on par with swill when I was a teenager. Didn't appreciate it then though.

Where have you been for the last two years? These sorts of articles, especially on fairfax news' sites would easily attract 50 comments.

the genius of their articles has always been that they antagonise people enough to comment, which only promotes the article further
