So I haven't seen a thread on this. In my past searches the result I've come up with seems to be "good luck." Any consistency with where this can be found? And for my own personal preference, as close to Jersey as possible?
Your best bet would be to follow the brewery on FB and Twitter. They always update what what's brewing or available for growlers/cans. You could either take a trip up to the brewery in CT (which isn't that far depending on where in NJ you are) or set up a quick trade.
Your current search will probably be the same as your past searches. I only saw it in a store's cooler in Danbury CT once and the next time I went and asked for it, they said, it's hit or miss when and how much they get and it usually sells pretty quick since it's never more than a couple of cases.
It looks like they have sent some to upstate NY on occasion recently, but other than that, the notes about hitting up the brewery it probably the most certain way to get it. Brewery is a great place and they are doing some great beers. Available in growler at brewery. Follow facebook, twitter or the thread in the New England section. All the retail tends to be hit and miss. Take the trip up from Jersey. Visit Captain Lawrence on the way and then to New England Brewing.
