Does anyone know how often it's shipped to stores? I'd like to have a rough idea of what day/week to look instead of daily. Thanks
Harvest in West Hartford indicated that they get it once a month. Your best bet is to call the package store that you want to drive to and just ask them how often they get it in and what day that distributor makes its shipments. With Harvest, I think they get it on Fridays (not 100% sure), but that might not be the same for each store. I found in West Hartford, that if Harvest gets it, it does not necessarily mean that the other big locations in WH will get it the same day or even the same week. It does seem that each distributor makes their deliveries on the same day each week.
my store gets it every 4-6 weeks. my allotment is usually 1 four pack. it's all stored back room because ppl from NY take what ever is on the floor. LOL.
I have literally never seen Gandhi on the shelves. I get it at my regular shop because they know me and it seems like almost every store that is lucky enough to get Gandhi follows this similar practice. There really isn't much advice to me given in terms of how/when to randomly try to get your hands on GB. Your best bet to score some if just to check NEBCO's facebook page for their tap lists and head down to the brewery when they're pouring GB. They've had it fairly consistently over the past few months, much to my pleasure as I stop by 1 or 2 times a week to fill my growlers. Check the hours and try to get there a bit before they open if possible. If you're lucky, they'll have one or two of their other exceptional brews on tap if you visit. This brewery is definitely NOT just Gandhi. Fuzzy Baby Ducks gets all the hype but Coriolis is the real gem of their offerings. Galaxy is great as well. The Fat 10-er series is interesting. The list goes on.
They had Gandhi on yesterday. Fairfield county got Gandhi Bot in last week/this week so be on the lookout.
