i read in some thread that they'll probably call it g-bot. that's why i wrote g-bot above; i'm not trying to be euphemistic or lazy.

that said, i couldn't care less what they call it.

I nabbed a 4 pack 2 weeks ago (I *think* the date on it was 4/13) in Fairfield and that was the first time I had gotten cans since probably Jan. I also ordered a few cans at The Crafty Monk that weekend. It was a really great batch of cans. Typically I just fill up at the brewery whenever it's on.

Seems to be the easiest way to get it! I heard about that batch hitting fairfield, and kept my eye out in new haven county assuming it would be around, but never found any.

I am going to have to blend them now and try it. Only because of this.

Totally agree, really not a fan of this line of thought that suggests breweries should just expand indefinitely as demand grows. There are individuals out there that would prefer to grow slowly, take care of their employees and keep high quality standards that have created the demand for their beer.

Gave up chasing GB cans a while ago. I also ran into a couple 4 packs that had a completely overwhelming vegetable/wheat grass flavor, they may have been handled poorly but I've had GB enough to know something was very off.

How long does the brewery normally have Bot on tap for fills? I saw they posted yesterday, but don't want to make the hour long trip if it'll be gone by 4 today.

Sea Hag is easily accessible. Trillium and second Fiddle (and GB) are not.

If I have to trade something for a beer or drive a minimum of 4 hours to get it, it is not easily accessible. I can go and get a growler of GB tonight on my way to dinner. That's quite a bit easier, albeit the result of lucky timing.

Way OT, and not even from New England, but I've been finding myself going back, and back and back to Uinta Hop Nosh for my easy-to-get IPA lately now that it's available (and most importantly fresh)

Lately I've been doing Sea Hag and Back East's Summer. Easy to get and delicious!

FWIW, I was at NEBCo yesterday and saw a pallet stacked about 15 feet high with Gandhi Bot cans.

They've tripled their production in the last two years so it's more like they're expanding as fast as possible.

They're both similar enough that I'll take either if I can get them.

re: SOS vs g-bot, hmm. at their best, it's a coin toss. when they're just so-so (relative themselves), i think i prefer gandhi.

that said, i'd take most of the lawson beer's i've had (double sunshine, chinooker'd) over gandhi.

that said, i'd take locust reign or coroilis over like fucking anything.

I attended a NEBCO beer dinner last week with one of the brewers explaining beers and fielding questions at each course. When asked about the new name he said 'G-Bot' is the current front runner.
