Gandhi spotter?

Gandhi just hit stores this week, at least it seems to have in Fairfield/New Haven Counties so it's fairly unlikely to be available next week in the area you're talking about. Having said that there's always a chance but I'm no expert on stores since I rarely go hunting for it.

 

Hate to tell you but all the places I know along Rt. 8 have gotten it in earlier this week and tend to sell out in a couple days. Looks like bad timing, sorry. Plenty of Sea Hag, 668 and Elm City available in stores though.

 

It's been on pretty consistently at the brewery. Cans, not sure.

 

I remember vividly. I am in Saratoga multiple times a Summer, as well as Winter.

 

That's the million dollar question. We're all crossing our fingers.

 

I think we are seeing much better availability than ever before. Knowing that every three weeks I can reliably get a 4 pack is much better than I remember. That and it being on at the brewery about 75% of the time is nice as well. I don't think its going to be getting any more available. I am willing to bet they are brewing as much as their capacity supports; but I also think demand is increasing at a rate that is preventing it from traveling as far.

 

Yeah, like others have said, it's bad timing. A lot of spots in Fairfield County got GB a week or so ago so there likely isn't much left. I do admire your ambition to have your sights set on "a few 4 packs".

It's especially tough since it hardly ever hits the actual shelves. Most stores just store it in back and offer it to regulars or friends or keep it for themselves. Also, it's difficult to find a place that will allow you to purchase multiple 4-packs. I scored a 4-pack on Monday and Tuesday of this week at the same shop and both times, different clerks told me that it was "the last 4-pack" in the store. Lol. Imagine that.

Best bet, as always, is to hit the brewery. Looks like they should have GB back on tap next week.

 

Picked up some Gandhi this weekend in Stamford. They had about 3 cases left at the time.

 

Dont you mean "constant"? LOL.

 

I also just picked up a case today in Stamford, there was a ton left this morning.

 

I imagine Stamford Bevmax is the location your talking about? I'm up in Ridgefield and I'd prefer to know where in Stamford before tromping down their on a wild gandhi goose chase.

 

Picked up half case at BevMax today. Shelf had about a case left.

 

Kind of like Southern VT with Heady Topper, used to get it, not any more. Spoke to the guy at Hoosick Street beverage on Sunday and he said they have not gotten GB in about a month and it was two cases gone in two days prior.

 

The Dew Drop Inn is pretty cool. It's in Derby. Kinda a biker bar with craft beer and awesome wings. Here's their current draft list, which they update pretty frequently. Even if the beer is just OK, the wings are worth a visit.
