This is why I don't like the shelves being overloaded with gimmicky craft (even if it's hop-related or barrel-aged). It pushes some simple favorites out of the rotation.

I'm totally bummed. I'm usually good for about three cases of tallboys of Gansett Bock.

Damn. A great beer to drink while dabbling in Trill and Tree. RIP.

I liked Lovecraft. Not nearly as much as the two standard Porter or,Bock. The Fest seasonal is good too. That being said, despite the level of fail by the Dels Shandy, their limited releases are usually very well done. Black Steam Lager was great. Their RIS was solid. The Imperial Bohemian Pils was also very good. They have to find the fine balance between experimental craft and classic roations.

Would love to see a solid IPA in tall boys. Every attempt they've made in the category has been more or less a bust.

They need to start brewing in Rhode Island again.

Man I'm bummed! I couldn't snag a can of Bock when I was in Boston last Spring from my gf's graduation and now that I actually live here for grad school, they stop making it!

I've been generally pleased with the Gansett products I've tried. I haven't had the honey ale since I can tell I'll almost definitely not like it, plus I can't seem to find it anywhere close to me and I'm not going to look that hard.

I don't think I've been able to find any real information on it, but their website says the next Lovecraft series beer will be "Innsmouth Olde Ale".
