Have a family member visiting the area and willing to pick up some beers. Looking for recommendations for bottle shops near by. Also what could be found that's CA only. Modern Times and Russian River. Anything else?
Bottles shops or breweries that have retail. Preferably cans. They just pack.in a suitcase better and weight a bit less. Port does cans right. Modern Times came to MA in a very limited run. Not sure if its coming back. Then have not run into it on tap.
Not "right" there, but close enough: Redondo Beach has plenty of options. Total Wine and Select Beer Store will get you the most options all at once. Bottle Logic is definitely at TW if that interests you. Plus plenty of other CA-only brews, including Pizza Port there.
Thanks for the recommendations. Once again BA at its best. Making a plan now. Pizza Port and Modern Times cans will be the priority. Just easier to travel with. Anyone traveling to MA and New England, let me know. I can certainly give some recs as well.
Should be able to easily find both. But check the bottom of the cans for the canned on date. MT's latest was Aurora, but I think I've seen Oneida around. City of the Sun is the next scheduled MT seasonal can release.
If you like dipas get some kook too, it won't knock your socks off but it's a good bang for your buck.
