While drinking Springhouse's Robot Surf Factory, which I have been wanting to try for some time now, I began contemplating adding some fresh cut pineapple to it. So my question is, has anyone ever garnished/added anything such as fruit to their beer. Now I know it is common for people to add orange to Shocktop or Blue Moon and a lime to Corona or Sol. I have also seen a few posts where people mentioned adding a small amount of bourbon to Founder's Breakfast Stout to make what they called "Poor Mans' KBS". I'm curious if anyone has used fruit to make a craft beer better or tailor it to their tastes.

Also, I apologize if this has been posted and I missed it in my searches.

    Cheers.

I'm with the Germans on this matter: Absolutely Not!

Though I don't get the part where adding fruit to a beer is verboten but adding candy syrup is somehow okay...

But Germans cater for this market through their Radler beer offerings - it's the Belgiums you should be idolising

I was at the Taproom tonight, and I was disappointed that Robot Surf Factory wasn't on tap anymore. I haven't had it in a while. Ended up getting Atomic Raygun instead, as I haven't had that in a while either.

I don't add anything to my craft beer. Seems a bit silly. I assume the brewer crafted them the way he/she wanted, so I figured I should consume it in that way.

I do like putting a lemon in some wheat beers, specifically blue moon and Boulevards unfiltered wheat. Haven't tried it with much else but wouldn't hesitate to do it with some American wheats. Wouldn't do it with heffewizen's or more beligiany wheats.
