Visiting the area at the end of August for the first time. Will probably be able to go out for some craft beers on two separate nights we are visiting in the area. What are your favorite local spots & why? Will have a car and can travel around the area. Probably focusing on Gatlinburg more than Pigeon Forge, but open to what the area has to offer.
From older threads here is what I've pulled together (assuming you're driving into the area?) - BREWERIES - Blackberry Farms - Close to Gatlinburg/PF/Sevierville (Farmhouse, Belgian Inspired but have recently put out IPA & Stout)...best of the bunch. Gatlinburg Brewing Company - In Town and worth a stop according to folks (I've not been) Smokey Mtn Brewery - More a restaurant than brewery but good beer. Locations in both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Driving through Knoxville check out - Albright Grove - Best Brewer in Knoxville (Great all around portfolio) Crafty Bastard - OG good Knoxville Brewery (IPA & Unique one offs) Xul - Good Beer and plays in the hype real (NEIPA & Pastry) Schulzbrau - All beer German TapRooms up in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg - Casual Pint - Good selection of Local/Regional/Beyond Yee-Haw brewery - “The Island” in Pigeon Forge...descent local-ish brewer Wild Bear Tavern - Haven't been there but worth a Google (German Themed)
Is there any places in gatlinburg that have draft blackberry farm saisons & lager or other beers? Would also settle for a local bottle shop that has a good selection of blackberry farm cans/bottles.
http://blackberryfarmbrewery.com/find If it doesn't directly link you feel free to type in 37738 for the Zip Code. I've been to the Food City (peg 2) and they've got a descent selection of local beers including BlackBerry. I personally really enjoy their more Belgian-ish beers so if you can scroll through and see if you can find their Saison, Fenceline, Goat Hill etc...
