I also want to try some of the Italian offerings. Should we expect anything from Denmark?

    Depends on your aims.
A lot of the beers will be gone - especially the interesting foreign stuff.
If you just want to try a range of UK brewers I'm sure there'll be enough left to hold your interest.

    Anyone been this week ?

I've thoroughly enjoyed my 2 briefish visits.

The American bar has been very busy, lots of great hoppy stuff on cask, Lagunitas Lucky 13 being the pick of the bunch for me. Lost Abbey - Angels Share BBA came on yesterday, that's a big boy for a cask, probably the highest ABV I've had from a cask at 13.6%. It worked well, the alcohol was well disguised.

Had a mix of UK stuff also, good ... George Wright Citra stood, Bad ... Earl Soham Sir Rogers Porter think cardboard and twigs and plenty of Ok middle of the road offerings.

already getting ready for next year, will need to increase USA cask by at least 30% and Italian beers by 50%. So many good beers it's hard to know where to start. Stone Ruin Ten IPA? Marble Double IPA? or the magnificent Starr Hill Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout? Sampled at least 60 of the USA cask, not a bad one amongst them.

I forgot to chime in here having returned from the festival!

Massively impressed as I always am. The Olympia is absolutely ideal. Way more seating and just an all around better feel to it.

Sampled allot of the US cask stuff. I'd have to agree with reprob8, there were some stellar beers on. Although the bar was a bit smaller than previous years, there was always something great on. I was lucky enough to try everything I set out to try. Ruinten, BA Angels Share, and Fifty Fifty Eclipse (2 versions) were amongst the best for me.

Great to see some De Molen also. Hel & Verdoemenis Wild Turkey B.A. was another favourite. It was hard to look outside the US selection. That's where my priorities lie at this festival and frankly I don't care what anybody else says. I did try some UK offerings and was for the most part impressed.

    Bring on next year.
