GBS Availability

    I was at the brewery on Saturday and they are all out of everything GBS. The sign said next release November 2015. I don't really think the bulk gets shipped out of town, I think people in Richmond go bananas over it. I'm part of the Richmond beer facebook page and for the last 2 months its all anyone has posted about. Every damn post is a picture of a store selling GBS or what bar is tapping it. I'm pretty sure there are people in Richmond who believe that GBS is widely regarded around the world as the best beer ever brewed.

    While that last part is funny (because it's true...there was a guy from RVA trying to trade a Bourbon GBS for an Assassin straight up the other day), to some extent I find it refreshing. It's nice to see an area embrace a local seasonal to such an extent. As opposed to only wanting the thing you can't get from somewhere else. GBS is a holiday season tradition for many people now.

    I have all 3 but it's gonna take an Assassin or BVDL to pry them from my cold, dark cellar. :grinning:

    TW on Robious in RVA has one case of rum GBS. Maybe 10 bottles left after I grabbed 1 like & minutes ago. Brewery has regular and Bourbon on tap now for pours.
