So I've got a friend in the Atlanta area who owns a pretty successful, good fun bar. Spoke to him recently... and he's thinking of expanding, and creating a restaurant and BREWPUB!

So, I know a good bit about brewpubs... from the point of view of patronizing them and enjoying delicious beer. But I don't have much other knowledge or info, in terms of the nuts and bolts of brewpubs.

I'm wondering if the outstanding gentlemen and ladies here could point me towards info on brewpubs- brew systems used, outputs, stats, all that kind of thing. Generic or specific, anything that helps develop a picture of what's involved.

Going to poke around on my own of course, but I figure this community is an obvious source for info!

    Cheers!

If distrubition is a future goal this site reccommends nothing smaller than a 10 barrel system
If just for a brewpub in house distro, they say a minimum 7 barrel system

If you want to know brew systems used, you would need to call the brewpub and talk with them. There is not a list of who uses which system. Some brewhouse manufacturers will have a client list on their website, so that would be a partial list.

If you are looking for barrels produced, this has a list, however, some may not report it to the BA and they are only estimates.

If you need equipment, suppliers, etc, the directory has almost all the vendors in the US.

If you need more specific details and business plans, find a consultant or hire a professional brewer.
