Well Made it to Geneva and had dinner and Beef and Brew, quite a nice beer selection there. And Crowlers! Nice! grabbed a Mortalis Orpheus to go!

I also stopped at Catskill Brewery on the way in and had a nice lunch and tasty black lager. See below. Grabbed some pilsner for the fridge this week. I love the raccoon logo!

Catskill is a real solid spot, worth a stop. If you're gonna be in that area, though, make sure to stop by Upward Brewing. It's literally a mile from Catskill, beers a very solid, but the taproom is so unique and gorgeous you gotta stop. It's like a 70s ski lodge vibe, and there's tons of outdoor seating all over the property too. A real hidden gem.

Well I have finished my week on Seneca Lake in Geneva. I ended up having a full day to do some beer touring, so managed to hit quite a few spots on a day and picked up some local beers at the Wegmans in Geneva also. Id like to thank @IGaveYouPower , @ColdOne , @SLeffler27 , @TongoRad , @Rocktire , @Stignacious , @moodenba for all your tips. I tried to hit many of the spots mentioned.
Im working on places reviews for many of these spots on BA as well. this might be a long post, I apologize

Had dinner on Saturday at Beef and Brew. Cool spot crazy beer selection and crowlers as an option at a bar is definitely cool. Had a flight of locals and brought home a crowler of mortalis stout. YAY!

We toured on a Tuesday and headed toward the easter side of Seneca lake, on our way to War Horse, we stopped at Watershed Brewing, which used to be Bottomless Brewing. I guess previous owners got a divorce and brewery fell apart. Super cool refurbished barn building. Decent tap list , I had the Pure Pils to support the Seneca Lake watershed association. Im an environmental scientist by trade, so always nice when I can drink for a good cause. And the pils was nice and crisp, very enjoyable. I also thought the trashcan sized beer pong on the front lawn was a pretty fun idea! We learned of the Seneca Lake brewing passport here and decided to hit several breweries instead of only the two we had planned.

Next we went down the road to try and get some food and a beer at War Horse. Bought a bunch of stouts and drank one in house (Churchill oatmeal stout) and had a Big Ass soft pretzel, were planning to stay longer and eat, but the kitchen was closed. :slight_frown: SO I bought several cans of the Turn and Burn Imperial stout to bring home. by the way the pretzels are LARGE! Guy at War Horse said Scale House would be a place to get lunch. So off we went.

Further south to Scale House mostly to get pizza. Which we did. Cheeseburger pizza (bacon and pickles on the pie too) was good and I had a kolsch that was good but not great. We waited here long enough for a large thunderstorm to pass by. View was great pizza was good, beers were fine. A colleague had a cream ale that she wasnt super impressed with either, but also not bad or flawed.

Next we hiked Watkins Glen, which as advertised was amazing. Right after storm so water was running down the sides of the gorge as we hiked. Beautiful hike, easily worth the visit if in the area. we hiked in and back out with many photos taken.

Finally stopped at Upstate tap room in Watkins Glen for a pour and some cans. Had the pilsner as a draft and was disappointed how hazy the beer was even though flavor was fine, but also not amazing. Taproom seemed brand new and I added the location to the BA DB earlier today. Decent spot, but we were getting the stamped passport so it worked out.

Later in the week I hit Brewery Ardennes. this was a winner for me. Had the Belgian Stout on draft. Yum. Bought many bottles to go and will be posting reviews in the What mid atlantic beer are you drinking thread over time. I bought a Quad, Tripel, barrel aged tripel and a belgian blonde. Cool looking spot nice outdoor seating. Very cool spot. Probably my favorite of the trip to Geneva.

Again thanks for all the pointers and tips BA!!

FingerLakes, New Hampshire and Vermont all in 1 road-trip. That is epic for a New England Beercation. Hopefully you can hit up Shilling in Littleton, NH and then cruise northwest to Hillfarmstead.
