I have a buddy going down to Georgia for work, for two weeks wondering what he should pick me up. I'm into IPA's, Stouts, and Sours. I tried to search for a thread but didn't find one.

Sweetwater IPA - delicious & underrated.

As far as stouts go, if he can find you some Sweetwater Happy Ending I'd highly recommend that!

Just was in Georgia. Had lots of Terrapin Rye Zpake Ale, Hopsecutioner and some Imperial Red with Mosaic hops. Not sure the age on any of them but they were all good. I also enjoyed Westbrook IPA in cans very much. They are a SC brewery so I'm not sure the reach of their distro..

IPA: Sweetwater (the best imo), Westbrook, Red Brick Hoplanta, Terrapin Hopsecutioner, Jailhouse Mugshot

DIPA: Terrapin Hopzilla, Westbrook Shane's DIPA

Stout: Jailhouse Breakout Stout, Red Brick Double Porter, Red Brick Vanilla Gorilla (if he can find it), Happy Ending if it's still around, Mother Earth Silent Night (if you don't mind spending $20 on a bomber)

    Sour: none

Other: Sweetwater Some Strange (black IPA), Terrapin Rye Pale Ale, Terrapin Mosaic (red rye ale), Monday Night Drafty Kilt (scotch ale), Wild Heaven Ode to Mercy (imperial brown), Red Brick Black Eye Rye (black IPA)

Terrapin is about to come out with a chocolate porter and a peach farmhouse ale. You can also send a growler with him since there are usually several draft only beers around.

Sweeetwater IPA for sure. Also Red Hare Gangway IPA, it's canned. Not quite as good as Sweetwater but pretty close. It has an 81 but I think it is better than that IMHO.

You came at the right time then.. Those don't sit on the shelf very often. The FV13 wasn't on the shelf in most places, you had to ask.

    Jailhouse Breakout Stout is good.
Also, Try Wild Heaven Ode to Mercy. American Brown Ale.
If in Atlanta, Hop City has nice selections.
