German hop estimates

    Do you have any ideas on the amount of 'newer' hops like Mandarina, Hull Melon, etc.?

    No idea Jack, but I can ask an old contact. But I assume they can see the trend happening. I'm anxious to hear about new hybrids too.

    Douglas, if you willing to make contact could you also ask whether there are any statistics on where these 'newer' hops are being sold to (i.e., German breweries vs. non-German breweries)? I am curious how much of these 'newer' hops are being used domestically.

    Good news on at least two fronts, both having a good crop and a bit more diversity with newer varieties are positive signs.
