Unless it's been stored badly it should be fine. That reminds me that I've still got a 750 of the 60th anniversary Abt.

Now I'm unemployed, it does look pricey compared to 1 euro for a half litre of Gulpener Gladiator (also 10% ABV).
Gladiator is the street drinkers beer of choice. Which may explain why there's so often none on the shelf at my local supermarket.

Are those street drinkers brown bagging it?

No need for a brown bag in Holland.

UI could get a four pack of 75 cl for around the same price here.

not sure where you are in NJ but roger Wilco in Pennsauken has them. I had already bought too much today so I skipped. But I’m going back next week if they’re still there. I’m getting one.

they also have the paulaner wiesn but it comes in a liter glass liter can combo, only way they had it.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm in Somerset County and I was able to find one. Now just have to find the right time to open it. Do I wait until September like usual or do I say screw it and kick off Augtoberfest this weekend? :sunglasses:

I just saw 6-packs of the Paulaner Wiesn today. They rebranded it though and the labels now read "Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier."

And thankfully they provide a graphic on the six-pack to illustrate that this is a Pale Oktoberfest beer so the consumer knows what they are getting.

    Cheers!

It would be kinda funny if they a Munich Mix pack.

    You called?

The street beer is a 10% beer? Makes sense.

Wow, they ditched the “Wiesn”. That was basically a brand name.

Yes, although I could see how this could be confusing to the average consumer who is looking to purchase the Oktoberfest Märzen. Unless they were looking at both packages side by side and notice there is a difference between the two. The picture helps.

You sound surprised. I'm sure if you think about it, you'll understand why... even beer geeks on the most popular beer site in the world still can't figure out the difference.

    Between Wiesn & Weizen.

    Isn’t Erdinger’s Oktoberfest a Wiesn Weizen?
