What MN-brewed plus German-import Kellerbier-style beers are available here in distribution to liquor stores? I know there is Summit Keller Pils, Schell's new Keller Pils, and from Germany, St. Georgenbräu Keller Bier. (Sadly, Utepils Keller Pils is not canned.) Insight Brewing lists (in their wordy style) "Artfully Outwitting His Royal Nuisance" on their web site, but I can't find it in any stores. Any other MN brewed Keller pils? Any other imported German Kellerbiers distributed to MN? (I'm only asking about MN-brewed and German imports.)
I drank the shit out of Insight's Royal Nuisance last year. A good beer. Seemed like a poor mover for them so I would not be surprised if it did not come back in 2019. Not a big fan of Schell's Keller. Not a fan of the hop choice. Summit is always solid.
When in Munich last year, Pschorr's bierhall had a fantastic wood cask/firkin conditioned keller pils (and great food). Couldn't find any other places with a keller pils, but kept coming back just for it. Wish it was an import.
I hope so, too. Their canned line up right now is about 1/3 hazy/NE IPAs. Add in the couple of pastry stouts, and they seem to be moving away from their roots. Nothing wrong in an of itself about that, but it is still a bit regrettable, IMO.
