No Weizen glass? And no trademark head for a Weizen? I guess you at least got your money's worth for the 16 ounce pour.
It was at a Pizza bar and they also served me a full 16 ounce pint of Allagash Tripel the same format. You won't see me complaining.
You can use this search tool to find out if and where you're getting it. My experience has been that it's accurate, except that once it pointed to a store about a week earlier than what the delivery actually was. But that's probably on the local distributor's reporting and deliveries being out of sync with Merchant du Vin. https://merchantduvin.com/
Finally tracked down a Trumer Pils for review. Solid beer, a bit past its BB date of 3-1-26 but found it lurking in the Arcata, CA Co-op cooler and hitting all the German Pils style points. Rated 4.01, Cheers! Tom
Kölsch from Enegren Brewing in Calif. This is the 2026 edition. Pleasant grainy aroma. There's a slight perfumey nose. Bright and slushy on the tongue. Flavors of cereal with a little greenery. Hint of astringency in the aftertaste and an increasing bitterness as you sip. Overall this is more like a light Pilsner than a Kölsch but it's quite quaffable as a rather hoppy super pale ale. Dated 02/16/26.
Friday after work beer - from Deutchland, Augustiner Edelstoff 5.6%. Wish I got the pint bottles here. That would be righteous! Prost to the hardy German style beer enthusiasts!
I haven't seen it in the PDX area, which is why I ask. The Pacific coast threads have indicated you can find it sometimes at TJs, but I haven't seen it up here. Have heard very good things about this lager focused brewery, so of course I'm interested. Ummm.... maybe you responded to the wrong post?
No, I get a southern Calif haul periodically and there is lots to like with Lagers and Pilsners. TJs is good about beers local to the various stores they don't mule it.
Tis true. I can get both the Augustiner Lagerbier Hell and Edelstoff at a couple of stores around me. But as Jack so often points out...$$$$!
