Driving up there from Long Island and will likely take Taconic or 87.

Decicco's in Ardsley, Exit 7 off of 87 North, right after the Yonkers Toll Booths.

Or closer to Germantown, check out Daughters Fare and Ale in Redhook.

Daughters is good. They usually have Other Half cans, but at a significant markup. Sloop Brewing is great, they just started canning black razz and sauer peach. Both excellent sours. Chatham Brewing in chatham, a little further north. Rushing Duck is kind of close, and Newburgh Brewing

Eat and drink at Gaskin's--you will not regret it.

Pretty much what everyone else said. Daughters, Sloop and Gaskins. There's Grand Cru in Rhinebeck, which is a pretty awesome bottle shop/bar. Right across the river is Crossroads Brewing in Athens and Catskill has Beer World, which has a pretty decent selection of craft beer.

Newburgh Brewery is an excellent stop right off the thruway (exit 17) but unfortunately they're closed today...may be worth a stop on your way home but check their holiday hours

Make a point to stop into Sloop. Good beers, good guys and a really cool spot.
