I will be returning to Deutschland for my annual Fall trek once again. I will be staying in Nürnberg from 16 to 21SEP, 6 nights. I will be visiting Rothenberg, likely on 17SEP, as well as Bamberg on 17 and 21SEP. I will also be journeying down to München 18-20SEP, for both Oktoberfest and Andechs, plus Weißes BrauHaus..... and more... If anyone is around then, give a shout and perhaps we can have a bier or 2. I know you always go to Rotherburg o.d.T, have you ever been to Nördlingen? My wife lived there when we met, it's pretty neat historically speaking, located in the Donau Ries, an area formed by a meteor, which may explain the dialect :-) Anyway, depending on how you drive, it's between Rothenburg & Munich. Not much beer-wise, except for Wallersteiner. Lots of locals drink Gutmann, avoid the Ankerbräu.
Yes, have been there before, as well as Dinkelsbühl...... Nördlingen is another nice walled town, and a great tower to climb up into.... I travel by train, also, btw.... I drink too much to drive there! Zum Wohl!
Geez that was my schedule almost exact but just changed. Will be in Prague Aug 28......4-6 days.... Then might head to Bamberg then to Berlin. Flying to Montenegro then Croatia..... Targeting Munchen about Sept 23. I will start in Holland on Aug 18.
