I’ve been out of trading for quite awhile, primarily due to having children and less disposable income, but recently my friends are bringing out of distro (we are TX) beers to our get togethers from wins in their razzle groups. I have no interest in that, and I always enjoyed the camaraderie of trading, so I thought I might see if I could find someone interested in a couple stout trades for anything we have in Tx. My profile is old, but my trading stats speak for themselves so I hope to connect with some folks to setup a few trades. Would love some feedback on what is most highly sought after (if anything) from this market and if anyone wanted to connect. Thanks for reading guys, Matt
Welcome back! If you've been gone a while, you may notice that trading around here has decreased significantly. There are a few schools of thought as to the 'why' behind this, but something to keep in mind as you start casting ISOs. As far as market goes, Jester King, St. Arnold, Lone Pint and Karbach still can go for $4$ deals when you find the right set of eyes. For limited stuff, that's a bit tougher. Baa Baa and Weathered Souls both used to be more highly sought after, but I'm not sure what they're putting out lately. Good luck!
Hey Matt, I've missed trading myself but must hold off until I have some suitable trade goods in hand. Wish you luck.
I'd be interested in Baa Baa and Weathered Souls if you have access. Let me know, doesn't need to be any crazy rare... interested in trying new beers.
I got back into it for a minute and it’s helped me with what’s new and popular. Just keep an eye on the boards and it’ll come back to you like the ol days. Enjoy!!!
Weathered Souls still is pretty sought after I think. Texas hype can be weird though. If you find the right person to trade with I'm sure you could get some good stuff with Live Oak/ABGB since those are top quality lagers
Where in Texas are you located? I love the weird pickle/pepper/michalada beers that come out of TX. One of my favorites is Best Maid Spicy pickle beer
I'm with you...been on this site for ages and traded back in the good old days but have zero stats to back up my quality trades back then...wouldn't mind trading for some top lagers like Olde Meck or perhaps Live Oak Hefe, Bierstadt, KC Bier, etc but I have no idea where to start to find that demographic these days....in the old days you'd just go on the forums for those areas and see if anyone was interested and work out something on beer mail. Then there were the have's and wants I remember seeing although I was not trading at that point....now it looks like I just need to start a thread and see what I get for bites?
I would suggest posting for those types of beers in either the Locals or the $4$ sub-forums - I bet there are people with access to some of those beers that would be willing to trade with you.
