So, I just finished building my bar (the rest of the basement to follow, important things first). Beer fridge and kegerator in place and I'm now contemplating which direction to go with my first keg. I could get a sixth barrel of either founders imperial stout or breakfast stout right now but was wondering if i should do something a bit less for me first tapping. Any thoughts .

I'd just go with your favorite beer. First keg I tapped when everything got done was 90min IPA. We've gone through quite a few at this point, but that one still gets it's chances regularly.

I totally agree. 1st keg was lagunitas IPA, then 60 min, and now back to Lag IPA.

Go with your gut. If you want a midnight black RIS then do it. Breakfast Stout won't last that long and it's getting cold outside.
