Found a crate of old bottles Geuze, on the Cork you can read Geuze ...eersm..ker Brussegem.
    ( some parts are unreadable)
    Age more then 45 years.

We opened and dronk one bottle, all sediment sticked to a site and bier was kristal clear.
Looked like white wine, no more bubbles

    Anybody info on the brewery

    Thanks

    Thanks,

So the bottles have to be from before 1971...Belgor was unknown to me.

Post a few pictures of the bottles, especially if you are opening another?

Santé - en laat maar weten als je voor de rest hulp nodig hebt - dan kom ik wel eens voorbij uit het Zwarte Woud.

A friend father moved and found 25 bottles in his basement ( dark and horizontal stored). leaked some content, but the other are still full. The bottle are now in my own basement, but some sediment is back in suspension after moving them with the car. Gonna take at least a few weeks before i can open another.
I will take some pictures and post them.

Finding really old and sometimes very enjoyable wines in long forgotten cellars of (passed away:slight_frown: ) relatives is very common in wine growing regions, so I'm not surprised that in belgium, it happens with beer as well.
I got a few excellent vintages of Rieslings and sparklers through means like that...

This is fantastic stuff, thanks for sharing. Drop some more tasting notes, if you think of it.

Yeah...what the heck did it taste like? Even gueuze lovers probably wonder if they could handle 45 years of funk.

I was sceptical for tasting that old beer, special because the bottle i used for taking the pictures had some beer loss of the years.
smell: sour fruit with a little cork, after a few minutes the cork smell was gone.
Taste: There was still some carbonation. It taste less sour then expected and was going to a cherry wine...

I love running into beers like yours. Found some St. Bernardus 6's in Brugge about 14 years ago from the 1950's. Also a Rodenbach from 1964 and a few others. It's exciting to drink vintage beers! Here is a Picture of the last empty one I have, others had more of the label left
