Ghandi Bot codes

    does anyone know how to read the Ghandi Bot code / also Sea Hag if it's the same

    I don't think you can use the codes as a test for freshness....

    sure you can....the first 3 numbers on Lagunitas are the day it was bottled. Gives you a good idea

    this GB is 00818A2BE....pretty sure it was canned last week though. It's the first time I've been impressed by GB from the can. Worth the buy in.

    I'm pretty sure the cans from the last batch had that code too, RMoeNay is right that you can't use that code to determine the canning date.

    What I would do is look at the stamp on the cardboard. That is the date all beers at the brewery are canned.

    The code you are referring to is the actual can code from Ball, the producer of the can.

    The cans have no indication of freshness; you need to look at one of the cardboard flats on which the cases are shipped, each of which has an easy to read MM/DD/YY stamp.

    This latest batch of GB was canned just about a week ago, and since the last one before that was way back in early June (or maybe even late May) you can be pretty sure that anything you're finding on shelves right now is super fresh. :grinning:

    The cardboard flat said canned on Oct. 11th, 2012 when I picked up my G-Bot on friday.

    The code on the can is not a freshness date according to the brewery. They only date the cases at this point.
