Ghandi Bot in RI?

No dice in RI...there was an uproar on FB because Fairfield County, CT wasn't getting any (at the moment), only New Haven County received stock of the latest batch...if you find one on the shelves it's likely to be from this summer's batch...

 

Its around $12 for a four pack of it.

 

Is Ghandi Bot a seasonal beer? I just found some a store in Rhode Island. I picked up a four pack after remembering this thread.

I'm having it tonight for the first time so we'll see how it goes.

 

Not seasonal, more like rotating. NEBCO brews it at all sorts of random times. There was a batch this summer, then one in October, and then one in November.

 

I'd urge you to enjoy but don't judge too harshly. Though it does age better than most, like any DIPA, Bot is best fresh. And since none has been shipped to RI since the summer, that pack has been sitting since August.

 

Ghandi Bot falls to pieces fast so beware. A liqour store in Cumberland has a case but its from June/July, so be careful.

 

What store is it? I am curious how it is with a bit of age on it.

I did not know this. I bought some last weekend and thought is was an average beer at best. I'll have to try a fresh batch and make a proper judgment.

After a month it gets weird. Its juiciness evaporates. When its fresh, its awesome.

 

having had some of the early October batch and some of the November batch tonight, I can absolutely confirm this. i always figured it'd last a couple months at least. the early October batch is what, maximum 7 weeks old, and the November batch tastes like an entirely different beer.

 

The lack of dating makes me apprehensive to purchase a 12-15 dollar 4-pack. Unless I know for sure when it was canned. If your lucky and find them in the cardboard tray you can see the date on the cardboard. Basically, I just wait for Nikki's or High Spirits to get it. I know they move it quickly.

A tip from you this spring led me to High Spirits!! Thank you very much. They're selection is great.

Also, Nikkis is great and IMO, they seem to consistently have the best craft pricing around.
