still, the best place to get the #thebot is @ the brewery.

there may or may not be Coriolis on today or Saturday as well.

I was at a store in Horseheads New York about 10 days ago and this little tiny convenience store had 5 cases of Gandhi Bot sitting behind the counter. He sold me 2 - Four packs for $28 out the door. I have to go to the brewery to get when I am at home, but random convenience stores in other states get it. UGH!!!

G-bot is good, dont get me wrong, but all the hoops that you have to jump through to score a 4pk are absurd. This is getting out of hand. Its just beer.

I agree. However for price and taste, IMO, it's the year round DIPA in the state. If something like Sucks was available all the time, I wouldn't be so heart-broken about the shitty availability of G-Bot.

I've seen the Bot on tap and on at the brewery this past week. Is this from the last batch (3 weeks ago I'd say) or new? Any new out to retail since the late August batch?

Hit Fairfield county last week and New Haven county this week. Probably from the batch that was on the brewery that was first put on a couple weeks ago. That's generally how I gauge when its going to hit the shelves; 2ish weeks after a keg first comes on at the brewery seems to be when it first hits shelves.

Picked up a 4pk over the weekend. The beer was disappointing to say the least. Nothing like I remember it being and loving. Color wasnt the same, smell was ok, taste was different. So inconsistent with this beer lately, will not be going out of my way to find it.

All of their beers seem have a fair amount of inconsistency. Sometimes for better, sometimes for worse.

the Bot seems to be on tap this week. Anyone seen cans around at Amity or other "better" shops between Woodbridge & say, Hartford? I'm heading upstate NY next week and would like to take some. I think cans would make for a better delivery than a (more) perishable growler. Thanks!

scarcity marketing is lame. they could make more. The idea that a beer can never be had more than four at a time and people getting upset about someone buying a case is lame. I love g-bot, don't get me wrong, but the way it's marketed makes me want to not love it. I don't believe for a second that the scarcity isn't intentional.

but, hey, they're running a business and it works, so who am I to complain.

The way it's marketed???? Lol how is it marketed? NEBCO litterally does nothing other than some tap takeover or beer festivals. All of which I am sure most people attending have already had it. They have even had to get to the point of silent releases because they can't keep up with the hype; that has been created only by making great beer. They have had exponential growth over the past couple years and it would be hard for any small business to keep up. Just before they moved they were selling more in just growler sales than the year previous for all sales.

They are working hard and trying as much as they can to get their product out. Go and talk to them, you will realize that. They are now brewing more Gandhi than even Hag and that's their flagship.

They have a larger brewhouse on order.

I hate to sound like a curmudgeon but I am sick of the complaining on here and Facebook.

I like most other people am frustrated I can't find cans of Gandhi on a regular basis. I wonder if its time for NEBCO to throw in the towel for a bit and just admit Gandhi should be growler and draft only until they can re-balance production or material supply which ever it is...

Focus on having it at key draft accounts and at the brewery almost constantly. It seems to be working for HF with respect to Edward and Abner...

That being said if Hag cans start to become difficult to find I may need to find a bridge to jump off...

I'm still trying to do the math and imagine what it would take to get Gandhi on the shelf more. Say they have 700 accounts in the state (making that up). That would mean if they can an entire 100 barrel batch, each account would get 2 cases. You also get about 200 kegs from the same batch. That's a lot of beer to make for not a whole lot of distribution. I would like to know how many and what size fermenters they have rockin these days in the new facility.
