I feel like these guys deserve a thread as well. Out of Oakland.
This brewery seems to make great hazies, but also has a popular rye beer along with a bunch of other styles they’re pumping out. Reasonably priced.
Their online ordering also has the option for a mixed 4pk for $20 which is something that I wish everyone had, but rarely do. It looks like they do pickup or mail delivery.
The last few months I’ve just had a feeling that this place is going to take off and get a lot of notoriety

*although just to clarify. It looks like if you order certain better beers for your mixed 4pk you will have to add a few bucks accordingly.
*I am not affiliated with this brewery in any way.

Their hazies are solid, but I think where they really shine is with their filtered IPAs. Sigil, one of their newer releases, is fantastic. Monkey’s Paw, which came out last month, was pretty great too.

Just put my order in for a case, unfortunately I was too late on the canned Nelson IPA but I got a 4 pack of crowlers of it. Looking forward to this case more than I have for beer in a while. I've loved everything I've tried from these guys

Got my order from ghost town today. Super excited to try it all out. Broke right into a Hymn of Nelson since I figure it's got the shortest shelf life, being a crowler as opposed to a line filled can, and its everything I was hoping for. Nice aromatic, white grape, nelson thing going on. I can only imagine it was even a touch brighter filled on proper equipment, but it's a great nelson wcipa.

Definitely see these guys catching fire when things open back up. I've yet to have mediocre beer from them

Broke into their Geister Faust pilsener as well tonight. Its a clean and simple beer. Not as crisp as other pilsners I've had but its a crowler too so some of.that might just be increased oxidation in the packaging. Enjoyable to drink though and I'll look forward to it while/after getting after the garden in the heat

That hoppy pilsner "Doomed" (Riwaka and Nelson) is easily the best pils I've had this year. Dio Cane (wai-iti, hallertau, mittelfruh) was solid as well but really wish I had picked up more of the doomed

I actually logged on to write the same thing. It seems like “hoppy pilsners” get kind of a bad rap, but this was as good as a wcipa.
Also, I thought hymn of Nelson and Embalmer were pretty good but I wasn’t blown away by them. Roughly 4 scores. (I think the Nelson was a little warm though, a little too sweet and dank that might have been less pronounced at a cooler temp).

for my money hymn of nelson was everything I want from a nelson ipa (and I got crowlers, not even real cans, so I have to assume I lost out on a bit), and inhume would be a regular denizen of my fridge if it were locally distributed. Even Embalmer, which had a bit of the overripe fruit thing going on with my first can, is setting into a really enjoyable place. I continue to be impressed by these folks' hops game. Quickly rising to the top of my list for proper west coast hops. Might fuck around and order another case

Mordant is coming back this week, juicy west coast with Strata and Mosaic.

But I haven't finished my first order yet. They have nailed my tastes for.citra and nelson so I'm definitely eager to see.their work with mosaic

Does anyone know the name of their hazy IPA with rye? That was my intro to them and I could sure use a few cans of that about now

    Final rites rye I believe.
I haven’t seen it on shelves recently strangely enough.
I’ll snag it next time I see it definitely.

That's just a sort of rye pale. Plenty good.brew in its own right, but the beer I had was a very hazy brew that the bar I had it at listed as a "hazy rye IPA". I might just have to.hit up the bar and see if the owner remembers

Drinking one right now. Real nice, mellower than expected on the adjuncts. Has some isoamyl notes to it that give it kind of a spiced bananas foster kinda vibe.
