Please don't misunderstand my meaning, I understand life issues are far more important than mere hobby pursuits. If a trader want's to pull out of the deal for any reason I understand and wouldn't give the matter any more thought or even mention it.

My issue is when we join a trading group there is an implied trust that others can trade with us with confidence. If I'm sitting on a box all packaged and ready to go what am I to do with it when the trading partner goes silent. Of course I could send it to another, or drink the beers myself, but I have made an obligation to send it to a specific person and if there is no word as to when then what am I to do? A simple sentence letting me know he couldn't complete the trade would suffice but I'm not a mind reader and when I've exhausted my attempts to make contact It makes me feel awkward because I want to do the right thing.

Ghosting is more than a slight, it's a disregard for the integrity of the process and if someone will ghost me then they may ghost someone else and I have a responsibility to the trading community at large to make mention it happened.

This has been resolved (for the time-being). According to the other trader, the bottles were compromised (not by him). He is in a tough situation with a loved one. I understand the situation and appreciate his candor. I hope that he learned from this situation and will be more open and candid up front (with good communication) instead of hiding. He was able to replace one of the bottles and will make up for the other bottles with future mutually agreed upon replacement bottles.

The funny part about this is what a small community this is. It wasn't very hard for me to connect the dots to him and once other people started pinging him, he realized he couldn't just run away. At least for now, this is resolved.
