A Saturday release at 9AM, that should be a fun line! Either way, I'm looking forward to finally being able to make a brewery only release.
can anyone give me an idea about Allagash releases. I'm new to the area and would love to get my hands on some Ghoulship. Do I need to get there early and wait in line? any insight would be greatly appreciated Cheers
I'm pretty sure they posted on twitter that it was changed to 9am here is the link: https://twitter.com/AllagashBrewing/status/519878904988073984
I sent my family to pick up Coolship Red and Cerise--no crazy lines. I caught the Coolship Resurgam on the day of Beer Camp, and there were maybe ten people in line early that afternoon. My parents caught the 9 AM release of Nancy a few weeks back, they arrived about ten minutes early and were in the top five or so spots in the line. It's counterintuitive, but good for us. Don't be deterred if you see a ton of cars parked along Industrial Way, Bissell has been drawing large crowds regularly. Drive on past for the good stuff!
I've been to a handful of releases. The last release was the wild beer roundup which was pretty big, but they were selling a variety of old sours. The coolship releases aren't really releases because they have a good amount of them and people know they'll be releasing them periodically throughout the year, but the smaller ones like Lil Sal, Ghouschip, Avance, etc do tend to get pretty busy. The two bottle limit should ensure that everyone there gets some though. Allagash does great releases though.
So it will be brewery only? I'd imagine lines might be a bit longer. Coolships are yearly releases. Ghoulship was last released like 2 years ago.
Always look forward to this release & Allagash throws such an awesome Halloween day-party. The first release was a 10 bottle limit, but I'll be happy with two and a Holy Donut.
I have a buddy going through the area, anyone know if any barrel series are available at the brewery now?
I was able to pick up Resurgam three days after their release. Not sure how that will relate to Ghoulship, but I think their policy of a 2 bottle limit really helps rather than start off with 4-6 for a few days and then scale back.
