GI at new City Target, Chicago

    Just a head's up for anyone interested. The new City Target in the loop opened today. Ran in to check the beer/wine selection. Nothing special, as expected. But bombers of GI Matilda, Sophie, Pere Jacques (all 2012) are $4.29 each. Regular retail is $7.99. They are not on sale or anything, so I assume at some point they may realize this and bump it up to market price. If so, enjoy it while you can. I know I will.

    I picked up some Matilda on Addison last week at this price and thought it was an error. Nice

    I have seen Matilda on sale at Jewel in the burbs for $5 before also.

    My GF picked me up a Sofie and a Matilda earlier, sadly I wanted her to get the Pere Jacques because I don't remember if I've had it before. Oh well, I'm not really complaining.

    This deal has been my post-grocery shopping treat at the Mundelein Supertarget every Saturday for the last month. Last year this same Target was selling Samuel Smiths oatmeal stout 4 packs for 4.99. That lasted about 3 weeks, then someone adjusted the price to 9.99. I've been waiting for the same thing to happen here, but I guess we're lucking out so far.
