Ha. California traffic says 40 minutes from where I'm at in Irvine. Hopefully they'll show California hospitality to a Midwesterner.

Went to Provisions, got there around 6:40 after finally finding parking. Line wasn't too bad event started a little after 7. Kind of weird they would take orders and give us a card, then a server would come try to find us and give us our glasses.

Overall glad to finally try the coffee and vanilla thanks to this event as getting a bottle is tough, enjoyed the coffee more as the vanilla bit sweet to me.

    Quick summary:
Showed at Hollingshead right at 4pm. Vintage pours were $5-6 per 4oz. 2012 Coffee BCBS, 2010 Lolitia, 2012 Madame Rose and a handful of others were on. All were good. Very very relaxed and a great chance to meet some of the brewers and hang out. Free swag = T-Shirt, Pint glass, bottle opener. Basically everyone who showed got it.

    Didn't go to Haven.

Arrived Provisions around 6pm. Got a happy hour pint. Hung out, ate. Line was a little wacky. Info on where to lineup was a bit inconsistent, and someone felt entitled and caused a commotion, which held things up a bit and caused some confusion. Overall, not a big deal. Pours went smoother than last year. Vanilla was $9 for about 7oz and Coffee was great. People were civil, friendly, and everyone seemed to get served. No swag at Provisions. No surprise Prop to my knowledge.

In retrospect, Pie Dog from 4-5pm was the place to be, but all 3 events were enjoyable and worth attending. Cheers to Pie Dog, Hollingshead, Provisions, and Goose Island for putting forth great efforts to satiate crazy beer nerds.

Pie Dog was pretty cool (for us that go there early). Good bottle share too... didn't make it out to Provisions tonight, but good to hear positive things. Goose Island peeps are super cool and I'll follow wherever in Cali next year when they land.

Wish I brought a few bottles to pie dog! Didn't really want to head to the bottle share(was sitting at the bar at 4:25 and beyond) without anything. It was a good time without though. My teeth still hurt from
40+ ounces of bourbon county in 24 hours haha

It was sort of a coincidence at our table. One guy had a '13 Iris in his car, another with a growler and HT, another came from the Bruery with his allocation, and I had something meant for a friend who couldn't make it. Instant share!

That was the best part. We made it a cool bottle share, not even planning it. Thanks for sharing the cuddlebug. Glad I was able to recover that heady lol

Went last night and they still had BCBS coffee on tap. No more vanilla or BCBS '14. Loved the coffee. Regular was surprisingly delicious too, not hot at all. Call ahead to see if they still have coffee. 562-431-3900. Great new place and a chill atmosphere.

Yeah since it local I went to check it out. But $9.00 for 5oz isn't the business when I was able to grab for $6 bucks at pie dog. Btw five days sober...this is weird
