GI RARE traded recently

I got my Rare for one bottle of Stone 15th Black IPA.

Oh yeah, it was a 3L that cost me close to $80. Still worth it.

 

I snagged one a couple months ago. I traded $100 of sours mostly Russian river but a 2 bruery Rs sours a griffon and a otiose. On and a cascade sour was in the mix. I think that totals over $100 but there was some other $4$ stuff for the extra.

 

Ostensibly, wasn't Griffon a hell of a lot more uh, rare, than Rare? Only 2 bottles per Hoarder member of which there were like 350? I feel like you shouldn't have had to toss in so much and your trading partner definitely got the better end of the deal.

 

Griffon had rarity on it's side, but that's about it.

 

Cause you've tried it and are speaking from experience right?

 

Griffon tasted great. It was flat as all hell but it was delicious.

 

Griffon was rare but not super sought after or super highly rated. Since I rarely have the things asked for on rare ISO threads so I came hard from the start.

 

I have had both Rare and Griffon. Griffon is chilling in my fridge as well.

I guess I wasn't entirely clear with my original post. Griffon was never really sought after. That's all I was alluding too.

Now that the trade is done, here is what I got mine for, just last week. 2x Civil Disobedience 6 and 2x Madness and Civilization 1. Very fair and right on for the price point IMO.

 

Traded for a Rare back in March and gave up BCBVS and x3 Beat B5...Needed the Rare that weekend for a BCBS Tasting so I didn't really mind giving up that much.....

Wow that is quite a good deal for a rare. Congrats on your win.

 

Last time I wanted a Rare, I got one strait up for a Big Sky Kriek (2010) , Abyss 2009, Hellshire II and a bottle of Chez Monieux. I was pretty surprised how quick that got done.

 

Won't happen again, IMO. Although if some generous trader out there sees this, I've got two Beat B5s and a ton of other things I'd gladly give up for 1 Rare.

I just find it incredible that it ever went for 3 Beat B5s. I think I remember seeing like 6 Beats + for a Rare, or something close to that. When I tried trading some shortly after it was out, I had a hard time even getting some things that don't even come close to the rareness of Rare.

 

I highly doubt it can get done again for B5...but once Beat B6 comes out, it can be done again..I'm bringing mules baby and iwillgopickitupforyoubro...
