Ahh thanks. Ill have to give them a call. Yea ive been trying to find the 2015's but there seems to be alot of missinformation out there.
Thats what my local binnys guy said as well but I was at the tap room and the bartender assured me that they saw distro, hence my confusion.
Also, Goose Island promoted them on social media like you could go buy them but like I said....haven't seen them.
I got tricked on this one with Halia. Drove down there with two kids in tow from the burbs to grab a bottle and was told its on premise only. So we had a wonderful lunch instead but I couldnt exactly drink a Bomber and drive home with two little kids! Not a total waste of time but seriously frustrating with how they posted "bottles for sale" on Twitter.
I've heard it's because they sold so poorly and sat on shelves for a very long time with the last release. I'm bummed about the change, I've always been a fan of the Goose Sisters, even if they are a bit overpriced. Also, the beer market in Chicago has changed considerably since the last release. I'm sure these would get snapped up pretty quickly now.
I would agree. I think they entered the market at too high of a price point. I think 25 should have been the highest personally but I still bought all four and would gladly this time arround as well.
That makes a lot of sense, because I've personally seem them at a quite a few places in the last year or so after release. While I agree with you on them being overpriced (and I'm sure this is a large part of the problem), sours in general tend to be "overpriced" in my opinion (as do BA stouts); RR sours make my wallet cry. It's a shame that GI will sell me a case of their more mediocre newer releases, but I can't even pick up a single bottle of Gillian.
