This looks like a lot of fun. It would definitely give me a chance to scope out the SE, since I'll finally be moving over there in the next couple weeks.
Based on what I've seen on untappd (and from the live beer menu circa 3pm), the event at APEX looks like it killed. Zombie Dust on tap in PDX, for chrissakes! I'm hoping there are some leftovers tomorrow morning, even though the ZD is long gone by now
Yeah, zd is gone, but it looks like everything else is still on. I might head back tomorrow for round two-anyone have any recommendations amongst the lesser known offerings? I went through the full FFF lineup and had the barrel aged beers from Haymarket (both were shockingly good btw).
I was hoping the Haymarket IIPAs would survive the day, but alas, they are no more. I haven't had an Alpha King since I moved out here from Chicago, so it might be nice to grab a pint if it lasts. Also interested in the Haymarket Sapphire & Piece Biere de Garde. But APEX is open another 2 hours, so I'm not holding my breath for any of them. At least Bone-A-Fide is on now. A few people I know who've had both that & ZD have given the nod to Bone-A-Fide. Still need to try the ZD. I moved away from Chicago about a year too soon, I guess.
the haymarket acrimonious bourbon imperial stout was the best thing on that whole list.. and it was on last night as of 1230am
I haven't had ZD (bottled or draft), but I've had Dreadnaught, Arctic Panzer Wolf & Alpha King both ways and bottled always tops draft. Not sure why exactly. It was still on today when I was there, and yes, it was pretty fucking good.
