Anyone going to the opening tonight? Or are you there now? I'll be up in PDX for a show at Holocene tonight, so I was thinking about swinging past Gigantic & maybe stopping in if it's not absolutely mobbed. Definitely want to give their (non-collab) beers a whirl. I'd imagine it WILL be mobbed, but does anyone have any info/first hand knowledge of the situation there?

from the post on brewpublic, it looks like they had a great first night. Definitely a new place I need to check out soon.

It was fun. That place was packed! The beers are pretty epic. I felt like I was drinking soap suds I got so buzzed off of them. I had a pint of the IPA and a glass of the black saison.

Shockingly, my buddy and I even managed to get a seat at the bar. Front row seats!

When we left around 8:30 p.m. or so it was finally starting to calm down a bit.

Some nice lacing on the Breakside Hoppy Hoppy Nano collab.

My wife & I made it there last night as well. We had to wait a couple minutes to get in since it was at capacity when we arrived. Van Havig was guarding the door, so we got to shoot the shit with him for a minute. Got a beer (IPA) pretty quickly after entering. The beer was good. Fruity nose. Malty, but not overly so. Dry finish. Ran into a guy I met thru untappd and got some of the lowdown on Peche 'n Brett.

Breezy -- looks like we were probably there at the same time. We left right after they called last call. Only had the IPA, but I'll definitely be back to try their future offerings. Looking forward to the Gigantic/FFF collaboration called Axes of Evil if I recall correctly.

Nice! I was the guy up at the bar in a gray hoody with probably the only black guy in the establishment.

I had a little wait as well outside but not too bad. Asked Ben a couple questions about the artwork for the logo so that was cool. Must have been a long day for those two but nice to see their efforts paid off!
