I will be staying in the Gilroy area from Chicago this week. Looking for stores, brewpubs, small breweries to hit up. Already know the big boys but hoping to find something new.
    Thanks,
    Brian

The "big boys" in Gilroy? You mean over in Capitola?

A great place to get your Garlic and Cherries, but beer? Yeah, not so much.

Though, I did stop by BBQ 152 and they had some nice stuff on tap and some delicious bbq.

Yeah, BBQ 152 has Duet on tap, and you could hit up Trail Dust BBQ in Morgan Hill for Nelson

Don't discount the fruit stands; was at Sante Adairius yesterday, went home via 152/Gilroy, stopped and got a bunch of fresh fruit to squish & add to a big growler full of Einhorn B.Weiss a friend sent me.. 15 bux and delicious

Incidentally Trail Dust & Aptos St are the same folk, the very folk who hang out in Sara all the time, sharing their Q, catering the last anniv party etc. All roads lead to Sara man. See you there.

Paps Hecker pass liquor on first street has a huge craft selection. JV and Eagle Ridge also have a decent selection. Both are also on first street.

If you're in Gilroy, take the less than hour drive to Santa Cruz and hit up SARA. Drake's is in San Leandro, a bit over an hour up north also.

You've got to drive a few minutes to get to the nice spots. YES! Go to Trail Dust BBQ
They're having a SARA/Rare Barrel event for SVBW. You'll have to check which day. Enjoy
