I have in my freezer 2 lbs of black raspberries and 2 lbs of sour cherries. I am looking to add them to a 5 gallon batch after active fermentation. I am looking for a subtle flavor profile rather than an assault of fruit, hence the quantities. What type of beer do you suggest that I brew?
I’d brew a basic beer, like, 9 lb 2 row 1 lb. Caramel L10 .5 lb carapills 1 oz goldings@60 Brew beer and after using a basic yeast Toss fruit on top of the fermented brew till the ferment has stopped. at least it’s a starting point
Golden promise 98% Honey Malt 2% OG 1.045-50ish Noblish hops to ~20ibus Saison yeast. Add fruit. Make sure everything is done fermenting. Add brett C at bottling.
