Over the labor day weekend I gave a few friends bottles of Dark Horse Plead the 5th and another a bottle of Black Note Stout. Felt good and bought me some beer karma.

I don't believe in Karma being a Christian, but "beer karma" as in, what goes around comes around with beers? Sure, ill bite. I gave some of my friends a few crafts, shared some with buds, and whaddyaknow, yesterday I scored two six packs of Hoegaarden for $4.99/pack. No doubt I felt fantastic. It's always great when something (especially beer, and ESPECIALLY Hoegaarden) rings up cheaper than you thought! Plus, it always feels good to be generous.

I don't think anybody in this thread is seriously suggesting the notion of some kind of cosmic force of balance but simply that if you give things - by way of human reciprocity - you will also receive. Has absolutely nothing to do with religion, everything with human interaction.

Its ironic that this subject has been brought up. I'm returning from a trip to Indiana today with a 6'er of FFF Alpha King. I plan on giving away 3 of them to friends and my son.

I've found that giving away beer is not giving away beer, its sharing an experience and it almost always comes back around! 2 whoops for karma!

I am (brand) new to this site so I have yet to share over this, but sharing is by far the best part of beer. I have tastings at my place regularly and converting non-beer types to enthusiasts is great. I really believe there is a style for everyone and nothing is better than helping them find their gateway.

I am looking forward to being able to share some of the more local releases around this area (Mid-Atlantic) with enthusiasts on here though. I am heading out today to find some Colossus from DuClaw as well as some other fun ones.
