I saw on Jolly Pumpkins site you can order their glass in .4 or .3 for color. What exactly is the difference?
To answer your specific question - the Jolly Pumpkin tulip appears to have very similar shape to the Rastal Luttich Ballon, which comes in two sizes 0.3L and 0.4L, so Jolly Pumpkin probably offers two different sizes. If you don't have a Rastal Luttich glass, you should definitely get one. It's my favorite glass. It is a perfect size for almost all 12oz bottles and it has a very thin lip (which I like a lot). Just FYI, the Deschutes tulip appears to be the 0.3L version (see pic). For some reason though, the Victory Golden Monkey tulip is listed as 0.4L on the Victory website... and it is the exact same size/shape as the Deschutes tulip. The older Bruery tulip (which isn't available at the brewery any longer, but you can find it online) is also the exact same size/shape as the Victory and Deschutes tulips, but it is made by Ritzenhoff Cristal and has a 0.4L pour line. Maybe different manufacturers mark the same size glass with different pour lines...? Judging by the possible thickness of the lip on the Jolly Pumpkin glass though, it may be from a manufacturer other than Rastal. Regardless, I recommend that you buy both of the Jolly Pumpkin sizes. And buy a Deschutes tulip because it's awesome. And since you're already paying for shipping from Deschutes, you should also buy some Tekus for good measure. (I have a spending problem... And I don't care if people want to call this glass a goblet, snifter, balloon, or anything else - I call it a tulip)
To specifically answer your question. The "Color" selection appears to be a mislabeled category heading. It should be size.
Wow very informative! I'm probably going to order the .3L since I like generally smaller sized glasses. I was looking at that Teku from Deschutes last night... It would be my first Teku glass.
