I noticed a couple of my recent acquired glasses have a small hairline scratch/etched line on them (.5 inch to inch long). Can only really see it when a flash light is held up to them. When I run my finger over it I can't feel it at all. Can I still use this glass to drink from?
I don't think that drinking from these glasses would be a problem. However, these scratches could make the glasses more susceptible to cracking at that source if they are subjected to rapid temp change on the scratch with cold/hot water, especially if the scratch originates at the lip of the glass. I think you'll definitely want to hand wash these glasses with care.
