Shaker pint with brown sugar and cinnomon and nutmeg as a rimmer. Boom!

I don't like Pumpkin beers, but I do use tulips, and snifters almost exclusively.

Serving vessel for a pumpkin beer?

    A drain sounds about right...

I've done thsi for my GF a few times and she loved it.

As for me, I stick to tulip, snifter and pint glass. I find a goblet to be too open for a pumpkin beer.

You can occasionally find these on eBay with a more reasonable shipping charge. I did buy a pair last year directly from ST as a gift for my wife who LOVES Pumking. Money well spent!

You can't go wrong with a tulip. If you want to change it up, then I think it depends on the beer. Shipyard? Pint glass is fine; it's rather thin and forward. An Imperial Pumpkin Ale (e.g. Long Trail)? Thicker beer, thicker flavor, and thicker aroma; the tulip (or perhaps a chalice) definitely seemed more appropriate to me.

If its an imperial pumpkin ale, I'll tend to use a fancier glass. Otherwise I just use a pint glass.

Now that I think about it a small gourd might be the best thing to drink out of. Further investigation needed. Will post results.

I ordered one from them over the summer with two buddies and just split the shipping between the three of us. Try finding someone you know to go in on buying something from ST to break up the shipping cost.

This thread makes me realize how much the West Coast sucks at Pumpkin Ales.

Simply cup your hands and have a friend pour into them.

Aside from stouts and barleywines, I've found that a tall tulip glass has been the best glass for every style of beer. Ommegang and Unibroue both have them and easy to find. Ommegang sells them as a pack with 3 750s. Good value.
