Honestly, people make too big of a deal out of glassware.

A tulip glass or snifter is all you need. Any other difference you taste from a "specialized" glass is just the placebo effect.

I am sure drinking it out of a tulip is fine. As others have said it is the best all around beer glass. However, if DGA is your favorite beer, having the glassware is a nice way to show it off but certainly not necessary. Cheers!

I still hold to my beliefs that people take it too seriously.

I'm an avid beer glass collector, so it's not like I'm hating on different styles. However, I do believe that any differences one can taste are negligible to non-existent for a tulip>snifter>goblet>wine glass comparison; the same can be said from a weizen>stange>pilsner>flute comparison.

I have a pretty unrefined palate, I'm OK using the plastic cups that you find in hotel rooms:wink:

That glass reminds me of the original King Kong with Fay Wray.

From the BA Beer 101 article:
Scientific studies. Who am I to question science? :grinning: That said, I know that I like my beers served in traditional glasses for their style. If nothing else, it gives a sense of authenticity to the beer I've chosen and enhances my enjoyment.
