Hey does anybody know what a good site to buy specialty glassware is? Specifically looking a a tulip and a snifter both around 13oz. Cheers!
I picked up my snifters at a Goodwill for a buck or two. As for a tulip, I waited for a Christmas Pack from Duvel, which was only a dollar more than the usual 4-pack and included a glass.
I got a sniffer from Dogfish Head web site and some nice Chimay chalices from those gift sets. Most brewers have a nice selection of glasses in the gift shops online.
All my good glassware was smuggled back from Belgium by my wife after a business trip as a surprise souvenir. Definitely one of those moments that reminded me that I made the right choice.
I have ordered from both these sites. Nice selection and fast delivery on both. If you are looking for generic glasses try the dollar store. http://www.beerables.net/glassware.aspx http://www.truebeer.com/Tulip-Glasses_c_78.html
If you're looking for unbranded glassware restaurant supply stores can also be a great place to look. Truebeer.com as well Pubglasses.com are also decent online options. Branded glassware can sometimes be found locally or by visiting breweries or buying from their online shops.
in terms of wide availability, pier 1 has a very economical range of glassware; i've purchased snifters for a couple bucks apiece. otherwise crate and barrel has a great selection, though a little more pricey.
I find great glasses at good will too, for 3 bucks I have a great half tulip with a long stem. Other than that I'd check with the brewery sights until you find what you want, but glasses made for red wine make great glass ware for Stouts and such. As mentioned World market has a ton of glassware.
I got some goblets from dollar tree, but the tulip eluded me for a long time. I just got a nice one from the weyerbacher website for under $10. Bed, Bath and Beyond had no Tulips that I've found.
