Anyone have any experience using these as a taster glass for beer?

Seems like it would be really nice for pouring amongst friends when you have no use for a larger glass.

I'll occasionally use this glass for higher ABV tasters (i.e. Utopias, TNP, Xayayayuuau, etc)...actually, it's the perfect glass for a situation where you're splitting a 12oz bottle (or smaller) between a large group of people.

I have a few Buffalo Trace branded ones that I picked up a few years ago at the distillery. I absolutely love them and agree with knifestyles ... they are great for high ABV beers that are being split multiple ways. For tastings, they're perfect.

We have sold some to a craft brewing clubs who said they were perfect for nosing and tasting their beers. We also sell a wide bowl glass of similar but more open at the mouth and wider bowl called a Glencairn Mixer Glass ~12 oz size filled to brim compared to 6 oz, that might be very useful for this purpose too - not sure which would be preferrable or if type of beer would make a difference in use. (we have the Mixer glass without the maple leaf etched on the bottom too, if preferred). www.cobhthaighceltique.com
