Go-To Texas IPA ?

I think Community Mosaic is fantastic. Deep Ellum IPA is pretty good but not in the same league as Mosaic IMO. I'll have to give Dankosaurus a try. I had a Cedar Creek beer at the Big Texas Beer Fest and enjoyed it although I don't remember which one I had (yeah it was towards the end when I already had a few).

 

I have to say I bought a 4pk of Dankosaurus and I wish I hadn't. It's not bad, but I don't think it's good either. I wish I would have bought the Resin I has in my hand when I saw the Cedar Creek. To me it tastes like some of the session IPAs I have had that just don't quite work, for me anyway. If you like it, have at it, I'll never buy it again.

 

Can't wait till Yellow Rose is available all over Austin!

 

Wanted to get the Yellow Rose at Growler's yesterday, but they had just ran out. Got the Lone Pint Zythophile El Dorado instead, hopefully it is good, still haven't tried Yellow Rose.

 

I'm conflicted. Yellow Rose tastes better IMO, but Dankosaurus is available in cans. Both of them are awesome.

 

Since the Heavy Machinery thread got locked, I figured this would be as good place as any to post.

Heavy Machinery Half IPA is being released today. We're making two batches this year, so it should hopefully be available through June.

I wish, wish, wish Endeavour was sold in 4 packs of bottles or cans..... I also wish the same thing for Hop Delusion.... and that it was year round.

Tried Dankasaurus... it was ok..

Yellow Rose is still tops... and now I need to redo my original wish.... it also needs to be sold in 4-6 packs of bottles or cans...

Mosaic is the best canned IPA in Texas at the moment in my opinion. I never really get to try the HM series being in Houston.

 

Show some love for buff brew.. canned more cowbell is pretty good IMO.

 

Wish you guys would show Houston beer drinkers some love.

 

If Endeavor is put into 4 packs, I'll make it a regular staple in my fridge.

Also, Spec's Dallas has a new batch of Saint Arnold's Homefront in as of this past weekend.

 

I found some BB More Cowbell at Live Oak Market yesterday (ATX). Pleasant surprise.

 

I'm in love with this beer.

 

There's 4 Community Mosaic left in my fridge. Considering I usually buy multiple IPA singles, that says something.

 

Yellow Rose is the shit, but ABW makes some of the best hop forward beers from TX, in my opinion. If you axked me a few years ago, this would've probably be different, but some things never change.

 

I'll add to the Mosaic love. One gripe: unless I'm missing it, no bottled on/fresh by date on bottle or 6 pack carton? I I've searched and searched...I'm not crazy, am I?

 

No you're right, no dates. Hope that changes soon. Generally I can always tell when a new batch comes in though, and double check with a clerk.
