Go-To Texas IPA ?

They bottled it on Friday. I'm pretty sure it went out on trucks this morning and should be around town soon, if it isn't already.

 

until they begin dating, i'm done with buying that beer. and i am not alone. i've bought too many six packs that "just arrived" at a specs location to find them completely dead.

The rumors of this started two years ago. It's really happening now? That deserves a thread if its own. Great news!

 

It is frustrating. The bigger issue, for me, is that it's a great offering when fresh. I really like to include it in trades and Beer it forwards as a great Texas beer. But it really sucks not knowing if your packing a fresh one.

It's great to be able to get it on tap every where though.

 

I tasted something today from Big Bend Brewing "Phat DJ". Don't laugh. It's legit. Nicely balanced and a tropical/citrus fruit bomb. Hopped with the 4 "Cs" if I remember right. Columbus, Centeinial, Cascade and Citra.

Look for it this weekend in ATX.

 

I'm pretty sure Phat DJ is from Fort Bend Brewing, not Big Bend Brewing.

So many Texas Breweries coming on line this year I'm having a hard time keeping them straight.

 

Mosaic goes to the top of my list. Big enough malt backbone makes it slightly smoother and more drinkable than most, great hop profile.
